Keyboard Shortcuts

There are some keyboard shortcuts in Windows based programs that will allow you to work a lot faster in your graphics or photo editing programs. Rather than having to manipulate a mouse all over the screen, these shortcuts can make easy work of some of the tasks that you may find yourself doing over and over again. Different programs may have additional shortcuts. Look for these in the drop-down menus - if there is a shortcut for a particular command, it will be listed next to the text for that command.

Here are a few of the more universal keyboard shortcuts:

1)CTRL-A To select everything on the page at once. This makes light work of grouping items - easier than the usual Shift-Click on each item individually.

2)CTRL-C Shortcut to Copy

3)CTRL-V Shortcut to Paste

4)CTRL-X Shortcut to Cut (not the same as Deleting. When you Cut, you can then Paste the item somewhere else.)

5)CTRL-N Shortcut to open a New document or page

6)CTRL-O Shortcut to Open an existing document

7)CTRL-P Shortcut to Print

8)CTRL-Z Shortcut to Undo
